Mykola S. Voitovych (Zakhid)

Lieutenant Mykola Voitovych (call sign West) was killed on December 6, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. During the enemy mortar shelling, the officer received fatal wounds. He would have turned 29 on December 19. Mykola was born in Lviv. He stuwas killed at the Lviv Secondary Sanatorium Boarding School No. 1 for children with cardiovascular diseases. He then graduated from the Lviv Cooperative Professional College of Economics and Law. Later, he entered the National University "Lviv Polytechnic". He graduated from the military department of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny. For 9 years, he worked as a sales manager for the Rud brand. With the start of the full-scale invasion, he took up the defense of the Motherland from the Russian occupiers. For half a year, he was in the capital in the ranks of the separate Presidential Regiment named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. Later, as part of military unit A4219, he carried out combat missions in the eastern direction. "Kolya will forever remain in our memory as a very positive, kind, bright, sincere person. He always found words of support. He was a loving father," said the wife of the fallen Mariya. The officer was buried in the village of Ryasne-Ruske, Lviv region. Mykola is survived by his parents, wife, son, brother and grandmothers.
