Mykola V. Dzikovskyi (Koka)

Sailor Mykola Dzikovskyi (call sign Koka) was killed on October 24, 2022 near the village of Davydiv Brid in the Kherson region. While performing combat duties to defend the Motherland, he received a fatal injury as a result of enemy artillery shelling. In September, the defender turned 29 years old. Mykola was born in the city of Odesa. He lived in the settlement of Avanhard. He studied at the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, where he obtained the profession of a lawyer. In civilian life, he worked at a car market. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, on February 27, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as part of the 35th separate brigade of the marine corps. He served in the fire support company of the 18th separate battalion. "A resident of our community, Mykola Dzikovskyi, was killed in the war. He believed and fought for our freedom. For the sake of the memory of all our defenders, we will achieve victory!" - noted in the community. Mykola was buried in the settlement of Avanhard. The defender left behind his parents and a brother. Posthumously, the naval infantryman was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree, and he was also awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Avanhardivska Community".
