- Soldier Mykola Kabayev (call sign Farmer) died on December 21, 2023 near the village of Novokrainka in the Donetsk region. He was killed by a mine while carrying out a combat mission. The defender was 35 years old. Mykola was from the city of Hlukhiv in the Sumy region. He graduated from the Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University named after O. Dovzhenko and obtained the profession of a teacher of technology and drawing. However, he worked in various fields: as a roofer, sales manager, long-distance driver, and plumber-installer. He was passionate about mechanics, electronics, and nanotechnology. During the full-scale invasion, he fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He held the position of commander of the anti-tank missile systems platoon of the fire support company. "A kind, bright, caring person who first does for others, then for himself. Dedicated to his work. A true Cossack and patriot of his country," said the wife of the deceased, Vitalina. Mykola was buried at the Veryhinskyi cemetery in his hometown. At home, his mother, sister, wife, and son were waiting for the defender. The military was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
