- Sergeant Mykola Klets (call sign Nik) was killed on January 19, 2023 in combat with the occupiers in the area of the settlement of Krasna Hora in the Donetsk region. He made sure that all his comrades-in-arms had time to hide in the dugout during the mortar shelling, but he himself received a fatal shrapnel wound to the head. The warrior was forever 50 years old. Mykola was born in the city of Storozhynets, Chernivtsi region. He worked at a car service station. He had many clients who trusted only him. He devoted his free time to his family, whom he adored. He was a wonderful father of two daughters, doing everything possible for their good life and future. He passionately loved his wife Darya, with whom he lived for 25 years. He was interested in politics, space, and technology, and knew how to do everything - from repairs to quantum physics equations. During the full-scale war, for the sake of the peaceful life of his loved ones, Mykola took up arms and went to the front line. He fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a squad commander. "Dad was the most interesting and kindest person in my life. Over 600 people at his funeral were proof of this - he was a Person with a capital letter, he gave his life so that his children could have a worthy life. He was a true patriot of Ukraine. He was always smiling and optimistic! He loved animals and saved more than one. He was very modern and interesting. He joined the ranks of the Armed Forces at the beginning of the full-scale invasion to protect his family and the country. We miss him very much!" - said the warrior's daughter Olga. The hero was buried in his hometown. At home, Mykola was awaited by his parents, wife and two daughters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
