- Sergeant Mykola Lysyi died on September 7, 2022, as a result of a hostile air strike near the village of Blahodatne in the Kherson region. On December 14, the warrior would have turned 38 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Pykovets, Vinnytsia region. He received secondary education at the Pykovets secondary school. In civilian life, he worked as a builder. In his free time, he devoted himself to sports and practiced hand-to-hand combat. During the full-scale war, the man defended his Homeland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. He held the position of squad commander - commander of a combat vehicle. "I know that my son is a Hero! This is a great loss for us. He was a great support for us," said Lyubov Lysa. The defender was buried in his native village. The warrior is survived by his parents, sister, and son. Mykola Lysyi was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
