- Sergeant Mykola Nelyuba (call sign Shaman) was killed on January 8, 2023, while defending his native Luhansk region from Russian occupiers. The enemy missile strike cut short the life of the defender near the village of Kolomiichykha. He was 33 years old. Mykola was born in Svatove, Luhansk region. Here he received his education, lived and worked. Since 2014, when the Russian-Ukrainian war began, the man has been defending his native lands in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He repeatedly carried out combat missions in the ATO / JFO zone and saved the lives of his comrades. During his service, he had many awards. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Mykola defended Ukraine as part of the 22nd separate motorized infantry battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a medical instructor. "He will always be in our hearts. He is our hero, who loved his country very much and was proud to be Ukrainian. I always remember him with a smile, he was the best. Kolya was a positive person in everything, he always helped his friends in any situation," said the wife of the fallen. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Glory of Heroes in Okhtyrka, Sumy region, where he lived with his family. Mykola is survived by his mother Lyubov, his wife Olga and his daughter Sofia, who was born in 2022.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
