- Soldier Mykola Panayotov (call sign Bulgarian) was killed on September 30, 2023 near the village of Kurdyumivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received a fatal explosive injury during an enemy mortar attack. On September 17, the warrior turned 31 years old. Mykola was born and lived in the village of Delen, Odesa region. He graduated from the Artsyz Professional Agrarian Lyceum. In civilian life, he worked at the construction company "Vestt". He was passionate about football, played for the local team, and won awards. The man was called up for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 22, 2023. He became a gunner in the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Donetsk region, in particular, he took part in battles in the Bakhmut direction. "He was brave, courageous, the soul of the company, cheerful, optimistic, never afraid of difficulties. This is a man of word, honor, and courage. For many, he has become a model of indomitability and strength of spirit. He always helped everyone who needed it. He was a true friend, the best brother in the world and a loving son. His constant phrases were: 'Everything will be fine!', 'It will be Ukraine!' and 'Home only with victory'. He fought for our peaceful nights, our peaceful life, the future of our children, and gave us the beat of his heart. He did not love fame, but he is one who deserved it," wrote the deceased's sister Dominika. Mykola was buried in his native village.
