- Senior soldier Mykola Rohiv (call sign Hutsul) was killed on May 5, 2023 in combat with the occupiers in the area of the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 47 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Bytkov, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at the Nadvirna Vocational and Technical School. He worked as a well repair foreman. During the full-scale war, the man served in the ranks of the 711th Regiment of the State Special Transport Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. He was a machine gunner in the assault company. "It's very hard to be without a dad... You will always be in our hearts and memories as cheerful and smiling," shared Nazariy Rohiv. "Mykola Rohiv was an example and support for his entire family. Honest, confident, faithful. He was always ready to help people, never refused if he could support, help, or protect. It was the desire to protect his closest ones that led the warrior to the front," the community noted. The defender was buried in his native town.
