- Soldier Mykola Voroshnin (call sign Malibu) was killed on July 9, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Vodiane in the Donetsk region. The defender was 29 years old. Mykola was from the village of Yaroslavka in the Odesa region. His parents was killed early, so he and his sister studied at the Kiliia boarding school. He then obtained the profession of tractor driver-mechanic at the Tatarbunary vocational school. He lived in the village of Dyvisiia in the Odesa region. He worked as a shepherd. He was interested in books, loved crosswords and animals. He dreamed of his own house, a car, and a family. From the first days of the full-scale war, the man voluntarily went to the front, joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. He participated in the defense of the Donetsk region. During offensive actions, he was repeatedly seriously wounded, but continued to defend the Motherland. During his service, he was awarded the medal "For the Defense of the Native State". "I am very grateful that I had such an older brother. Strong, courageous. Mykola was a very good person, he was always quick to help. Sociable, hardworking, he was the best. Mykola was the closest person to me. We were always together in life. He replaced my parents and gave me everything so that I could find myself. My brother was always there in difficult times. And now, when he is gone, it is very difficult for me without him. It's as if you're walking halfway, looking halfway - everything is halfway. I miss him very much. The brother was my support and pillar. It's very hard for me without him. The soul is unbearably painful," shared the deceased's sister Alla Sandu. Mykola was buried in the village of Dyvisiia in the Odesa region. He is survived by his sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
