Mykola Ya. Kravchuk (Kavun)

Soldier Mykola Kravchuk (call sign Kavun) was killed on August 6, 2023 in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhia region. The defender received fatal multiple shrapnel wounds. He was 46 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Romeyky, Rivne region. He graduated from Kuznetsov Technical School No. 12, and obtained the qualification of a 3rd class electric welder. He worked as a construction worker and often traveled to other cities for work. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the Motherland from the occupiers. He held the position of senior mortar gunner. "Mykola Yakovych was a loving husband, a good father to his adult son and daughter, a young loving grandfather. We express our sincere condolences to the relatives and close ones of the fallen Hero, we share your pain and bow our heads in mourning with you. May the All-Merciful Lord help you to overcome the bitter pain of irreparable loss," wrote on the page of the Poliska community. "The best man and dad in the world," said the wife of the deceased. "A person-company," added his fellow villagers. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Mykola was awaited by his wife Valentyna, daughter Diana, son Vadym, relatives and friends.
