- Soldier Mykola Vorontsov (call sign Dovhyi) was killed on July 4, 2023 during an enemy artillery bombardment of the concentration area of the military unit near the city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. The fighter was forever 41 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Novopavlivka, Mykolaiv region. When he was 4 years old, the family moved to the city of Dolyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region. There he graduated from the 9th grade of school No. 4. Then he acquired the profession of a truck crane operator and a car mechanic at the Stryi Higher Vocational School No. 34. In civilian life, he was engaged in construction work in Ukraine and abroad. He was fond of fishing. He loved nature. After the full-scale invasion of Russian invaders, on February 14, 2023, Mykola was called up for military service by mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He joined the 419th separate rifle battalion, where he held the position of a machine gun crew member in the machine gun platoon of the rifle company. "My son was a kind and responsible person, he loved life and Ukraine. He participated in the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity. He had many plans for life. Mykola was cheerful and had many friends. He dreamed of creating a strong family. Mykola was killed defending the independence of Ukraine and our future," said Lyubov Vorontsova, the military's mother. The defender is buried in the village of Yavoriv, Ivano-Frankivsk region.
