- Soldier Mykyta Belymenko (call sign Evans, Topaz) was killed in action on April 14, 2022, during the defense of the city of Mariupol in Donetsk. The warrior did not live to see his 23rd birthday by two months. Mykyta Belymenko was born in Kyiv. As a teenager, he lost both parents. Orphaned Mykyta and his younger brother were taken in by their uncle, and later their godmother became their guardian. They lived in the city of Boryspil since then. In 2015, Mykyta graduated from Boryspil NVC "Gymnasium "Perspektyva". He then decided to pursue higher education at the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine, which he did not manage to complete. Mykyta was attracted to military service, so in 2020, he signed a contract with the separate special purpose unit of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". He successfully completed the young fighter course and received the coveted patch. He really wanted to go to war, to hot spots. In January 2022, he was supposed to go on vacation, but it was suddenly canceled. And already on February 24, a full-scale war began, during the first days of which the fighter, together with his brothers-in-arms, began to defend Mariupol. "Mykyta is the kindest person, a fearless warrior, and a worthy example for his younger brother Ilya," said his godmother Tetyana Dzei. Mykyta leaves behind his brother, godmother, friends, and brothers-in-arms. Posthumously, the defender was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
