- Mykyta Kuropatkin (call sign D-6), a combat medic, was killed on August 12, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. He did not live to see his next birthday - he would have turned 28 on September 18. Mykyta was born in Russia. When he was 12 years old, he moved with his parents to the Donetsk region, to the city of Pokrovsk. There he finished secondary school. Then he obtained the profession of an automotive mechanic at the Selidovo Mining College. Later, he dedicated himself to the defense of Ukraine during the ATO / OOS operations. In 2016-2018, he fought in the ranks of the 90th separate airmobile battalion of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then for a year he served in the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2019, he was discharged and managed to live a peaceful life for two years, looking for himself in the civilian world. He was engaged in sports. He cared for his family, raised two sons, and sought to protect them from all troubles. However, the full-scale war forced the man to take up arms again and return to the front line. Mykyta joined his comrades from the 132nd ORB. He was a senior combat medic in the company. He saved more than one comrade. "Kind, sensitive, always ready to help. He loved his family very much, he was a true warrior and always said: 'I will go to the last, only forward and not a single step back'... The memory of Mykyta will live forever," said his relatives. The hero was buried at the Smolyansky military cemetery in Zhytomyr. Mykyta is survived by his wife, two sons, relatives, close friends, and comrades-in-arms. Posthumously, Junior Sergeant Mykyta Kuropatkin was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
