Mykyta O. Kravchenko (Krava)

Senior soldier Mykola Kravchenko (call sign Krava) was killed on September 6, 2022, while liberating his native Kharkiv region from Russian occupiers. Near the village of Volokhy Yar, he received fatal injuries in a battle with the enemy. The defender was forever 25 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Ukrainka, Kharkiv region. He lived in the city of Barvinkove. He studied at the Barvinkove Vocational Agricultural Lyceum. After graduating, he worked on the railway. He was passionate about cars. He loved to relax with friends and family. In December 2018, the man went to serve under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation. In 2021, he was discharged and spent half a year at home with his family. And on February 15, 2022, he signed a new contract. And just 9 days later, a full-scale war began. Mykola served in the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Otaman Ivan Sirko. He took part in the defense of his native Kharkiv region. In June 2022, the fighter was awarded the medal "Defender of the Fatherland", which was already received by his widow. "Mykola was a very sincere, kind, open person, the soul of the company. He always came to help. Always smiling, even in difficult situations, he said: 'Everything will be fine.' An attentive son, a loving husband and dad. He was a very good dad, though he saw his son very little," said the widow of the fallen Olga. The serviceman was buried in the village of Pogonivka, Kharkiv region. Mykola is survived by his parents, wife, and son, who was 8 months old at the time of his father's death.
