Myroslav O. Koval

Soldier Myroslav Koval was killed on October 16, 2023 in a battle near the village of Torske in the Donetsk region. The life of the defender was cut short by a bullet from an enemy sniper. The warrior was forever 51 years old. Myroslav was born in the city of Novovolynsk, Volyn region. He obtained the profession of a miller at the Novovolynsk Vocational School No. 11. In 1992, he married and moved with his wife to Belarus. For some time he worked as a molder at the Brest plant of reinforced concrete structures. But at the end of the same year, the couple returned to their homeland. The man worked in various fields until 1995, and then joined the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There he worked for more than 20 years, participated in the ATO and retired on seniority. During the full-scale Russian invasion, on March 23, 2023, the man again took up the defense of his country from the occupiers. He joined the 100th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was the driver of the rifle section. At first, he served in Volyn, and then went to the Lyman direction of the Donetsk region. A month before his death, Myroslav came on vacation, then he saw his relatives and friends for the last time. "My father-in-law was a golden person, he never refused any help," said Myroslava Koval. The warrior was buried in the village of Skyby in Volyn, where he lived with his family. Myroslav left behind a wife, two sons, grandchildren, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms. In the city of Lyubomyl, Volyn region, a memorial plaque was installed for the fallen.
