Myroslav O. Stets

Defender Myroslav Stets (call sign Myron) died on March 4, 2023, during enemy shelling in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 48 years old. Myroslav was born in the Ternopil region. He graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic National University. In 2015-2016, he participated in the ATO. He fought as part of the 23rd separate brigade of public order protection "Khortytsia". During the full-scale war, he was the commander of the fire support company of the 125th separate brigade of territorial defense. For his service, Myroslav Stets had the "Veteran of War" badge. Posthumously, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the III degree and promoted to the rank of lieutenant. "Thank you for the honor of serving with you!" - wrote his comrade Maryan Viontsek. "My husband was a very kind and caring person. He never feared to learn something new, always experimented with different activities and specialties. Everything was interesting to him. He loved to work on the land, was interested in construction. We loved to rest, walking in the forest, we often did this. He has been singing since childhood, sang very beautifully. He dreamed of a free and flourishing Ukraine," said his wife Halyna. The defender was buried in the Marso Field in Lviv. Myroslav is survived by his wife, daughter and son.
