- Soldier Nazar Boyko (call sign Mazhor) died in the hospital on January 14, 2024, from gunshot and shrapnel wounds to the neck, received while performing a combat mission near the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 31 years old. Nazar was born in the city of Boryslav in the Lviv region, lived in the village of Zalokot. He graduated from the local school and then mastered the profession of an electric welder at the Boryslav Vocational School No. 7. He worked abroad in construction. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he served in the 710th Brigade of the State Special Transport Service. He performed various tasks: from guarding objects to participating in combat operations. "By nature, Nazar was a very kind, sincere and benevolent child. He was always caring, helped not only me, but also others. A person you could rely on. His main life principle: "Do good to others." More than anything, he dreamed of living in an independent Ukraine. I miss him very much," said the hero's mother, Maria.
