Nazarii I. Pasichnyk

Senior Lieutenant Nazariy Pasichnyk was killed on May 18, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Volodymyrivka in Donetsk region. The officer was only 26 years old. Nazariy Pasichnyk was born in the village of Nesvich in the Volyn region. From a young age, he dreamed of a military career and was fascinated by the army. In 2013, he enrolled in the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Peter Sahaidachny in Lviv. In 2016, he was assigned to the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He held the position of Deputy Commander of the company for moral and psychological support in the fire support company of the 13th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Nazariy participated in battles in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. "A bright person who planned his life like everyone else. Nazariy was polite, determined, brave, and always supported his relatives and loved ones," said the wife of the fallen soldier's brother, Darya Pasichnyk. Nazariy was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, a loving family, friends, and comrades. Posthumously, the officer was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III class.
