Biography
Drashpul Nazariy Vladyslavovych was born on December 31, 1994, in the city of Irpin, Kyiv region. He graduated from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine with a degree in "Accounting and Taxation". He worked as a financier. He read a lot, did sports, and painted. He really wanted to be a physicist, so he entered the Kyiv National University to study "Theoretical Physics". From a teenage age, he was interested in medicine and military affairs. At the age of 15, he started playing airsoft and was engaged in reconstruction. He also loved hiking in the mountains and snowboarding. In 2014-2017, Nazariy served in the 101st separate brigade of the General Staff security. He periodically carried out combat missions in the ATO zone in Donbas. In 2021, he was on military training and changed his military specialty from financier to shooter. On the morning of February 24, 2022, on the first day of the full-scale war, the man volunteered at the military enlistment office. By the evening, he was on the defensive positions as part of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Kyiv region from the invaders, and later went to other hot spots on the front line. Nazariy Drashpul fought as part of the 1st company of the 1st battalion of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. If they had to retreat, the unit in which Nazariy Drashpul served was the last to do so. The occupiers bombarded the positions of our soldiers with tens of thousands of shells and mines. On August 28, 2022, several Ukrainian soldiers were wounded. During their evacuation, Nazariy Drashpul was killed as a result of a mine explosion near the village of Pavlivka, Donetsk region. The hero was buried on the Alley of Memory of the Defenders of Ukraine in his native Irpin.Burial place
