Oksana S. Kliokta

Senior soldier Oksana Klyokta was killed on August 16, 2022, during a Russian military attack on Ukrainian defenders' positions in Donetsk Oblast. Exactly a month before her death, the woman turned 51 years old. Oksana was born in the city of Lubny, in the Poltava region. She graduated from the 9th grade of the local school No. 10. She obtained the profession of a seamstress at the Zinkivskyi sewing school. She worked at the Lubny district police department. In 2013, she moved to Kyiv. In March 2021, she signed a contract with the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostyantyn Ostrozkyi. She held the position of senior shooter. "Today, thousands of brave Ukrainian defenders, who unhesitatingly give their lives for peace and tranquility on our land, are fighting alongside men. Oksana Serhiivna Klyokta was among them," the Lubny City Council page noted. The servicewoman was buried in her native Lubny. The woman left behind a son.
