Biography
Oleg Anatoliyovych Svynchuk was born on September 12, 1993, in the village of Berezhtsi, Lyuboml district, Volyn region. In 2011, he graduated from the Rimachiv Secondary School of I-III degrees. From June 25, 2015, to November 24, 2016, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On March 25, 2021, he signed a contract for military service. He served as a tank driver in the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade. During the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, he heroically fulfilled his duty on the northern borders of the country. On March 8, 2022, three tank crews from the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade participated in the battle for the liberation of the village of Makariv in Kyiv region from Russian occupiers. From the first shot, the tankers managed to destroy the main vehicle, while the other two tanks provided fire support. One by one, enemy vehicles burst into flames from accurate shots. The infantry began to scatter, and later Russian soldiers discovered the position of our tank crews and called for artillery. Maneuvering, our tank drivers destroyed the enemy. The tank in which Oleg Svynchuk was located flanked the enemy and began firing high-explosive shells, driving out the infantry. Together, the three Ukrainian tank crews in the battle destroyed six units of enemy equipment and a significant number of enemy personnel. Thus, the enemy was pushed back, and eventually, during the counteroffensive, Ukrainian forces liberated the village of Makariv in Kyiv region from the Rashists. However, an enemy anti-tank guided missile hit the Ukrainian T-64BV tank: the ammunition detonated, and the turret was blown off, resulting in the death of the entire tank crew in battle. Oleg Svynchuk was buried on September 6, 2023, in the village of Berezhtsi in Volyn. For his personal courage and heroism displayed in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for his loyalty to the military oath, Oleg Anatoliyovych Svynchuk was awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine" with the Order of the "Golden Star."Burial place
