- Soldier Oleg Yakubets (call sign "Instructor") died on October 26, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 31 years old. The soldier was born in the village of Turivka in the Ternopil region. He studied at the Irpin Economic College, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting and auditing. Later, he graduated from the Ternopil National Economic University, receiving a master's degree in "Accounting and Taxation". He worked as a driving instructor at the "Mega Drive" driving school. He lived in Ternopil. He loved cars, sports, music, and animals. During the full-scale invasion, he defended the Motherland in the engineering troops of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". He held the position of a sapper. Oleg Yakubets was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree and the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Ternopil". "Oleg is an example of strength, courage, loyalty, love for the Motherland, a symbol of bravery and self-sacrifice. He loved his work, was responsible and calm. His actions felt powerful, his heart was filled with boundless courage. In Klishchiyivka, where blood and metal merged into one rhythm, he became a guardian of hope and a model of devotion. Leaving a trace of indomitability, Oleg remained in the hearts as a light in the darkness, forever in the memory of those who knew his courage. You live in every step, in every gaze, you are a heroic legend that is always with us," wrote his wife Lyudmyla. The defender was buried at the Mykulynets Cemetery in Ternopil. Oleg is survived by his wife Lyudmyla, son Daniel, and a large family.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
