Oleh B. Filonenko (Fil)

Senior soldier Oleh Filonenko (call sign Fil) was killed on September 13, 2023 in the village of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region, during an artillery bombardment. The warrior was 29 years old. Oleh was born and lived in Ukrainka, Kyiv region. In 2012, he graduated from the Gnivan Vocational Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of a welder. In civilian life, he worked at the "ART-MARK" company. He took up the defense of Ukraine, joining the 80th Airmobile Brigade. He was a senior operator of the 2nd platoon of the anti-tank missile systems company of the 3rd Airmobile Battalion. "He was brave, courageous and fearless. The most beloved husband and father," wrote his wife Vita Fedorenko. Oleh was buried in his hometown. He is survived by his wife, son, mother and two brothers.
