Soldier Oleg Tsokhan was killed during a tank shelling on December 11, 2022 near the village of Verkhnyokamyanske in the Donetsk region. A month before that, the defender turned 30 years old. Oleg was from the Luhansk region. He had a locksmith education, but did not work in his specialty. Instead, both at home and in Kyiv, he was engaged in repairs, installed suspended ceilings, worked on construction sites, and also in the Kyiv trolleybus depot. He played computer games, loved to go out with friends to nature. He was learning to play the guitar. "Oleg was an intelligent, intellectual person with good mathematical abilities. Perhaps a romantic at heart. He had a cheerful and cheerful character, many friends. He was constantly helping them. In 2017, he first came to the "Nova Poshta" in Kyiv, but after half a year he resigned. He got a job with the company again back home in Lysychansk. At first - in branch No. 1, later the guy was transferred to branch No. 4, which was close to his home, and he was very happy about it. Oleg really liked working for the company. However, in 2019, he changed the red corporate T-shirt for a pixel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said employee Yevheniia Kshniakina. Oleg wanted to defend Ukraine since 2014, when the war came to his native land. He signed a 3-year contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in the ATO in Donbas. From the first days of the great war, the 54th separate mechanized brigade, of which he was a part, held back the onslaught of the enemy in the Donetsk region, where Oleg died. He held the position of gunner. Oleg is survived by his wife, son and other relatives.
