Soldier Oleg Briga was killed on March 20, 2023 in battle for the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during a mortar and artillery bombardment. The warrior was forever 30 years old. Oleg was a native of the city of Vinnytsia. In 2010, he graduated with honors from the Vinnytsia branch of the Kyiv Financial and Economic College of the National University of the State Tax Service. He later continued to pursue higher education by correspondence at the Vinnytsia Institute of Economics of TNEU, which he graduated from in 2013. In civilian life, he worked as a sales representative at Roshen-Konditer LLC. He had been passionate about football since childhood. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. He held the position of line supervisor of the communications platoon. "Oleg was a caring man, a loving dad to his sons, a pillar and support for his parents and relatives. A person with a sincere soul and a kind heart," said his sister Oksana. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Sabarivske Cemetery in Vinnytsia. At home, Oleg was awaited by his parents, wife, two sons, sister, and grandmother. The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
