- Sergeant Oleg Panasenko was killed on December 8, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Sokil in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 25 years old. Oleg was born in the town of New York, Donetsk region. From childhood, he dreamed of becoming a soldier, so after completing secondary education, at the age of 18, he began serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the ATO/OOS as part of the 54th Brigade and the Aidar Battalion. In 2019, he was discharged and returned to civilian life. He worked abroad. He loved to play football. He spent all his free time with his family, which was the most valuable thing in his life. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man returned to Ukraine and in September 2022 joined the ranks of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Vladimir Monomakh. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Bakhmut direction. Later, he was transferred to the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He took the position of a master-number of the crew of a self-propelled artillery platoon and continued to fight in the eastern direction. During his service, the soldier was awarded the medal "Defender of Ukraine" and the distinction "For the Defense of Ukraine." "Brave, caring about the grief of others, the soul of the company, loved life and me... We miss him very much and have not learned to live without him. He was a real man. The last message I received from him: 'You are a wife, you are a family, you are my life, I cannot live without you.' I miss you and your crazy ideas. The world without you is a haze! Forever yours," wrote the wife of the fallen soldier, Lyubov. The military was buried at the Krasnopil Cemetery in Dnipro. Oleg is survived by his mother, wife, daughter, and grandmother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
