Oleh H. Samburov (Samalot)

Soldier Oleg Samburov (call sign Samolyot) was killed on April 30, 2023 in battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The fighter received a fatal gunshot wound while holding back the enemy's advance. The defender was 42 years old. Oleg was born in the village of Stary Lysetz, Ivano-Frankivsk region. After school, he graduated from Ivano-Frankivsk Vocational School No. 15. He lived in Ivano-Frankivsk. Throughout his life, he was engaged in construction work. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man served in the 356th Training Artillery Regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was an instructor in the training platoon of the training battery of the training self-propelled artillery division. "My brother was a caring father and son, a good family man, a hardworking person, and a loyal friend. He was a devoted patriot of his Homeland, which he went to defend from the first days of the enemy's invasion. Worthily fulfilling his military duty, he remained faithful to the oath, participating in the defense of the state and restraining armed aggression," said the deceased's sister Natalia. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in the village of Chukalivka near Ivano-Frankivsk. Oleg is survived by his mother, wife, two sons, sisters, nephews, relatives, friends and acquaintances.
