Oleh H. Zaitsev

Zaytsev Oleh Hryhorovych was born in the city of Zhashkiv, Cherkasy region. At the age of 21, he moved to the city of Kyiv. He was one of the managers of the enterprise "Kraft Chemicals", which manufactures and supplies products to veterinary and agricultural enterprises. He was an actor at the Kyiv theater "Dakh". He participated in the Revolution of Dignity. Later, he participated in the war in Eastern Ukraine as part of volunteer formations, and was in the "Right Sector". In 2022, he obtained a military education at the Department of Military Training of the National University of Defense of Ukraine in the specialty "Combat use of mechanized formations, military units and subunits", and received the rank of officer. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he joined the defense of the country. He took part in the defense of Kyiv, for which he received the Order of Courage of the III degree. During the course of the combat, he personally destroyed up to a dozen units of enemy equipment and a large number of enemy personnel. He was killed on May 7, 2022, during the battles for Snake Island. He left behind a wife and two daughters.
