Oleh I. Bednarchuk (Bendar)

Senior soldier Oleh Bednarchuk (call sign Bendar) was killed on March 12, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. The warrior received fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack. In February, the defender turned 47 years old. Oleh lived in Zdolbuniv, Rivne region. He graduated from Lviv State University of Internal Affairs. For some time he worked in law enforcement, then as a security guard at Nova Poshta. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of the defenders and went to the front. Oleh fought in the 3rd Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was a mortar shooter. "I am very proud of my father, eternal honor to the Hero. A volunteer who, after the start of the full-scale invasion, joined the ranks of the defenders and was in hot spots: Bakhmut and Robotyne," said the son of the deceased Vladyslav. The military was buried in the village of Staromylsk in the Rivne region. Oleh is survived by his wife and two sons.
