Oleh I. Chykhun (Smieshnoi)

Born on February 24, 1986, in the city of Kherson. Graduated from a general education school in the city of Kherson. Served mandatory military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In July 2014, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a senior rifleman in the 28th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0666 (field post V0095), the urban-type settlement of Chornomorske, Kominternivskyi (since 2016 - Lyman) district of Odesa region). Participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Smeshnoy." On February 13, 2015, soldier Chikhun received multiple shrapnel wounds near the village of Oleksiivka in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. The seriously wounded serviceman was taken to a hospital in Kyiv, where he died from his injuries on February 20, 2015. On February 23, 2015, he was buried at the memorial for fallen soldiers of the anti-terrorist operation at the Geologists cemetery in the city of Kherson.
