Oleh I. Udalyi (Illich)

Soldier Oleg Udalii (call sign Illich) was killed in action on March 14, 2022, near the village of Novoselivka in Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries during enemy shelling. The warrior is forever 23. Oleg was born in the village of Borodaivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. After school, he graduated as a surveyor from the Dnipropetrovsk vocational-technical school. He worked as a laborer. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking and fishing. In 2019, the man decided to join the military service by contract in the ranks of the airborne assault troops. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. At the time of the full-scale invasion, he held the position of grenade launcher operator. Together with his comrades, from the first days of the great war, he continued to defend Ukraine's independence on the front lines. "He was a brave and very kind man. He never refused to help. He loved his family very much. His biggest dream after signing the contract was to go to the sea. But he didn't even live to see his 24th birthday..." said the sister of the deceased, Victoria. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, he was awaited by his mother, sister, wife, and a son who looks very much like his father. Posthumously, Oleg was awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.
