- Sergeant Oleg Voitov was killed on January 31, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Veseле in the Mykolaiv region. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy missile shelling. The warrior was forever 47 years old. Oleg was born in the town of Ovidiupil, Odesa region. He studied at the local technical school, where he mastered the profession of an automotive mechanic-driver. He worked at the Chornomorsk Commercial Port. He dedicated his free time to his family. Since 2016, the man has been a fighter of the 160th Air Defense Missile Brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the time of his death, he held the position of head of the combat control section of the anti-aircraft missile division's radio engineering battery. For his military service, the soldier was awarded the "Veteran of War" badge, as well as posthumously the Order of Courage of the III degree and the "Combatant's Cross" distinction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Oleg was an exemplary man, a loving father, the best friend, a kind and decent person. He always came to help. He was smiling, sincere. His favorite phrase was 'We'll make it through,'" said the defender's wife. Oleg was buried in his native town. He is survived by his wife Olena, daughters Iryna and Olena, and sons Maksym and Denys.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
