- Soldier Oleh Bervetskyy (call sign Zhurba) was killed on November 21, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region. An enemy tank attack ended the life of the warrior, who had turned 39 at the beginning of the month. Oleh was born and lived in Lviv. He stuwas killed at secondary school No. 100. Then he obtained the profession of an automotive mechanic at the Lviv Higher Vocational School No. 20. He received higher education at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic", where he obtained the qualification of an automotive engineer. He also received postgraduate education at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing. For 10 years he worked as an engineer in the structural unit "Lvivenergoavtotrans". He easily acquired new knowledge. He knew English and Polish. He mastered German in a few months. He knew many folk songs by heart. He loved to travel around Ukraine, to do cycling, to go to the mountains. He enjoyed the silence of nature. He avoided conflicts and loved order in everything. With the start of the full-scale war, Oleh joined the ranks of the 103rd separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He completed courses and became a UAV operator. He took part in the liberation of Lyman in the Donetsk region. "He constantly spent time with his family. A loving father, a beloved husband. Even his comrades-in-arms and commanders recall that when Oleh spoke about his family, his eyes lit up. Therefore, he went without hesitation to defend his family. He was proud of his family, listened to us, was hardworking and responsible, did not complain. He trusted in God. Even after completing complex tasks and sleepless nights, he always prayed and was grateful to God for everything," said the deceased's wife Natalia. The defender was buried in the Marsovoye Field of the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. Oleh is survived by his wife Natalia, sons Yaroslav and Roman, parents, three brothers and two sisters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
