Oleh M. Blius (Dzhaz)

Sergeant Oleg Blus (call sign Jazz) was killed on February 17, 2024. A day earlier, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Lyptsi in the Kharkiv region, he came under fire and sustained serious injuries. He was evacuated to a stabilization point, but they were unable to save him. Oleg would have turned 36 on March 1. Oleg was born in the village of Drohovychi, Lviv region. In 2003, he graduated from secondary school No. 72 in Lviv. In 2006, he obtained the qualifications of a waiter, bartender, and cook at the Lviv Vocational Lyceum of Trade and Services. After completing his studies, he worked at PE "Panonia", later holding the position of a bartender of the 4th category at Danylo Halytskyi International Airport "Lviv". He then worked at PJSC "Chervonohradskyi Zavod Metalokonstruktsii", and later at LLC "LuxWash". With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the Defense Forces. He served in the 125th Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a mortar commander. "My Oleg was always kind, reliable, and courageous. Without hesitation, he stood up to defend the Motherland and protect our family! I love him with all my heart and more!" said the warrior's wife, Khrystyna. On February 24, 2024, Oleg was buried in the Field of Honorable Burials at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. The defender left behind a wife, two children, parents, and brothers.
