Oleh M. Halatiuk

Born on March 7, 1986, in the village of Zavyshyn, Sokal District, Lviv Region. In 2003, he graduated from the general education school of the urban-type settlement of Zhvyrka, Sokal District. In 2004-2005, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (now the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - military unit A0284, Lviv). In February 2015, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a scout in the reconnaissance platoon of the 15th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military post V2260). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On the night of December 22, 2015, Junior Sergeant Halatyuk was blown up by a grenade near the village of Novobakhmutivka in the Yasynuvata District of Donetsk Region. He was buried on December 25, 2015, at the New Cemetery in the village of Zavyshyn, Sokal District, Lviv Region. Honorary citizen of the Sokal District (posthumously on October 13, 2016).
