- 31-year-old Oleg Kaveцьky (call sign Felix) was killed on October 3, 2022, in battle near the village of Myrne in the Zaporizhia region. Oleg was born in the city of Chervonohrad in the Lviv region. Until the end of 2013, he served under contract in the 8th separate operational assignment regiment. He was an activist during the Maidan and since 2014, he went to defend Ukraine. Initially, he fought as part of the DUK, and later signed a contract for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 54th separate mechanized brigade, fought in the Svitlodarsk bulge and in many hot spots in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. He was a sincere, kind, and reliable comrade and friend. In his free time, he loved hiking in the mountains. In 2019, he left the army and returned home. For some time he lived and worked in Dnipro. However, when the full-scale war began, Felix immediately returned to the ranks and went to fight for Ukraine. “Our friend and brother Felix is no longer with us. One of those who were the first to go to defend our state. From Maidan to today. You could always count on him in any situation; for many, you became not just a friend, but a brother…” wrote his friend Oleksiy Kolesnikov. “He was one of the best people I knew — sincere, honest, kind, responsible… In 2021, he moved to Dnipro, and we worked together. Oleg's life was gradually improving until the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation began. Without any hesitation, Felix went to defend Ukraine with a weapon in his hands and fought almost all this time in Zaporizhia, near Huliaipole, where he laid down his life in battle… Eternal memory to you, Brother… It will be hard for us to come to terms with your loss…” wrote comrade Artem. The defender was buried in his native Lviv region. Oleg's parents and his pregnant beloved girlfriend did not wait for him to return from the war.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
