Oleh M. Khylko (Fanat)

Senior soldier Oleh Khilko (call sign Fanatic) was killed on December 18, 2022 in battle with the occupiers near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 42 years old. Oleh was born and lived in Kyiv. He studied at secondary school No. 280. Then he graduated from the Kyiv Vocational Construction Lyceum. In peacetime, he worked as a driver. He loved outdoor recreation and fishing. He was interested in football. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of the local territorial defense. Later, he became a fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 23rd separate special purpose battalion. He was a senior mechanic-driver. "Oleh was a very good person, a wonderful family man, the best husband, loving and caring. He was an example of what a real man should be. He had honor and dignity. He was respected at work and in the family circle. We had many plans, but unfortunately the war prevented us from realizing them! It is very difficult to accept this loss. My Oleh will always be a Hero for me and will always be in my heart!" - said the widow of the fallen Natalia. "Oleh was cheerful, sincere, positive, a loving father. He had many plans, but from the first days without hesitation went to defend our Motherland and his family from the enemy and gave the most valuable - his life. He loved his family very much, was a reliable support and support for his daughter, parents. For me, he was not only a brother, but also a friend who would always come to help and support in every possible way... It is difficult to express everything in words, it is like a terrible dream... It is painful even to think that we will never see you again, but for us you will remain forever alive and somewhere nearby, in memories, in the heart... I know that in heaven there is one more angel! Today, tomorrow and all my life we remember, love and mourn! You were and will forever remain the best brother, I will remember and love you until the end of my life," added his sister Yana. The defender was buried on the Alley of Glory of the Bortnychi Cemetery in Kyiv. Oleh is survived by his parents, sister, wife and daughter.
