Oleh M. Kozak (Shyva)

Grenade launcher Oleg Kozak (call sign Shiva) was killed on October 23, 2022 while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Novoselyvske in the Luhansk region. The fighter was 49 years old. Oleg was born in Kharkiv. He graduated from the Kharkiv Chemical and Mechanical College. He worked in various fields. His last job was at a book warehouse, where Oleg was engaged in packing online orders. This work was to his liking, as he loved to read very much. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Oleg joined the defense of Ukraine in the ranks of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Otaman Ivan Sirko. As part of his unit, he defended his native Kharkiv region from the occupiers from the first days. "Olezhka was an incredibly kind and sensitive person. He loved Ukraine very much, so in 2014, without hesitation, he went to the military enlistment office and went through 2 rotations in the ATO, and on February 24, 2022, he again stood up to defend the Motherland. He couldn't do otherwise. We miss you very much... Our angel," said the younger sister of the fallen Hanna. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Glory in his native Kharkiv. Oleg is survived by his mother, sister and nephews.
