Oleh M. Pavlenko (Frantsuz)

Lieutenant Oleg Pavlenko (call sign Frenchman) was killed on October 31, 2023 in the battle for the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. The officer was 26 years old. Oleg was a native of the village of Syrotenkі, Poltava region. He graduated from the National University "Poltava Polytechnic named after Yu. Kondratyuk" and obtained the qualification of an economist. In civilian life, he worked as a vehicle mechanic at Artemiy-plus LLC. He loved music, played the guitar and sang. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man went to defend his country and his family. He served in the 407th separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of a machine gun platoon. "An exemplary father, loving and faithful husband, very kind. He helped everyone. He played the guitar beautifully and sang," said the wife of the deceased. The officer was buried in his native village. At home, Oleg was awaited by his parents Natalia and Mykola, his wife Nadiia, son Bohdan and sister Olha.
