Oleh O. Batsko (Yenot)

49-year-old senior soldier Oleg Batsko (call sign Enot) was killed on August 21, 2022, while defending the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region from Russian occupiers. In the battle, an enemy tank shell hit the trench where the defender was. Oleg was born in the city of Verkhnedneprovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. He received secondary education. He worked as a driver. In his free time, he loved to do something crafty and repair household appliances. During the full-scale war, Oleg defended Ukraine as part of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". He was a machine gunner. "The family lost their sun, who adored his children. And God, perhaps, called him to repair a washing machine or TV. It was not possible to pray for him from God...", writes the wife of the deceased, Tetyana. "Oleg Batsko selflessly sacrificed himself and will forever remain in our hearts... We express our deepest condolences to the relatives and close ones and share the heavy pain of loss. Sincere condolences to the family! Eternal memory and glory to the Hero!", noted the community. The serviceman was buried in his hometown. At home, Oleg was waiting for his wife and two children.
