- Born on February 18, 1983, in the city of Kyiv. In 2001, he graduated from general education school No. 236 in Kyiv. From 2003 to 2004, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 93rd Separate Linear Communications Regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1735, city of Zhytomyr - the regiment was disbanded in 2013). He lived in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. He worked in the field of IT technologies. On June 20, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Pechersk-Holosiivskyi Combined District Military Commissariat in Kyiv. He served in the 1st platoon of the 7th company of the 3rd battalion of the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409 (field post V2731), city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On February 15, 2015, soldier Kobchenko was wounded in the legs during a battle near the urban-type settlement of Chornukhine in the Popasna district of Luhansk region. Together with the wounded soldiers of the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade, he was evacuated to the hospital. On the way, the convoy came under fire, as a result of which soldier Kobchenko was killed. Since then, he was considered missing in action. In March 2015, Oleg Kobchenko was identified among the deceased in the occupied territory. The body of the serviceman was transported by volunteers to the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). On March 26, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Stavyshche, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
