Oleh O. Skoryk (Myrotvorets)

36-year-old junior sergeant Oleg Skoryk (call sign Peacekeeper) died in the hospital on February 3, 2024. During the performance of a combat mission in the Bakhmut direction, he sustained a severe explosive injury. The defender's heart could not withstand the wounds, despite all the efforts of the doctors to save him. Oleg was a resident of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. He received higher education at Donetsk National University. In civilian life, he worked as a press operator of refractory products at PJSC "KDZ". He spent his free time with his family. Even before the full-scale invasion, the man decided to go on a contract service to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after the military leader Ivan Sirko. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation. After February 24, 2022, together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Kharkiv region first, and then went to other hot spots. "There are few courageous people like my husband. He was brave, fair, and fearless! The most important thing is that he always kept a positive attitude, and a smile never left his face! He was a very bright and kind person!" - said the wife of the fallen Tetyana. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the central cemetery in Pokrovsk. At home, his wife and two children were waiting for Oleg.
