- Aerial reconnaissance officer Oleg Tymchenko (call sign Scorpion) was killed on July 4, 2023 near the settlement of Khromove in the Donetsk region. On the morning of that day, while carrying out a combat mission together with his comrades-in-arms, he came under massive mortar fire. A mine hit the trench and exploded near Oleg, as a result of which he sustained fatal explosive injuries. The defender was only 32 years old. Oleg was born in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. He lived in Zaporizhia. He received his secondary education at the Zaporizhia Educational and Vocational Complex of Technical Profile. Since he was raised only by his mother, he went to work immediately after school. From 2014, he worked at ATB-market LLC, holding the position of junior goods receiver before the war. He was passionate about cars, cooking, and could perform any work exemplarily and professionally. He loved traveling around Ukraine, meeting with friends, having fun, and socializing. He was a cheerful and open-minded person. During the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleg served in the aerial reconnaissance unit of the 17th Separate Tank Brigade named after Kostiantyn Pestushko. He fought in the Donetsk region. During his service, he was awarded the "Veteran of War - Participant in Combat Operations" badge. "Oleg was fair, brave, courageous, and determined. In the war, he always strived to learn new things, first mastering the control of reconnaissance drones, and then becoming the best pilot of kamikaze drones. Always ready for battle, always ready to help. He was the best pilot and strived to improve his skills even more. A calm, balanced warrior with a cold heart and a thirst for victory - this is how his comrades-in-arms remember him. Oleg loved life very much and deserved to live long and beautifully. For us, his death is a terrible loss," said the deceased's wife, Maria. At home, the hero was awaited by his wife, mother-in-law, friends, colleagues, godparents, and godchildren.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
