Oleh O. Volok

Paratrooper Oleg Volok was killed on September 7, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the vicinity of the village of Volokhiv Yar in the Kharkiv region. The defender was 43 years old. Oleg was from the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. He graduated from the Kramatorsk educational complex "School No. 32." He participated in the ATO / JFO since 2014. He joined the volunteer battalion "K-2," which later became the "Kyiv" regiment. He went through all the hot spots on the front line. He was discharged in 2021 and planned to live a civilian life. However, when the full-scale war began, Oleg returned to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his native land from Russian occupiers. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. "For the opportunity to live in a free country, we pay the highest price — life. In the Bakhmut direction, our school's graduate Oleg Volok was killed — a son, husband, father, brother, classmate, friend, neighbor, companion. This war took a son from his mother and a father from his son..." the school stated on its page. The defender was buried in his hometown of Kramatorsk.
