Oleh O. Yarush (Zvir)

Soldier Oleg Yarush (call sign Beast) was killed on July 16, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Hryhorivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 46 years old. Oleg was from the Ternopil region. He graduated from the 9th grade of the Novosilsk Secondary School of I-III degrees. In civilian life, he worked at the "Skhid" factory. He was passionate about cars and loved to drive. In 2015-2016, he was a participant in the ATO, for which he received awards. During the full-scale invasion, the man returned to the ranks of the defenders and went to the front. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the driver of an anti-tank platoon in military unit A4850. "My father was the best. He went through a very difficult path that most would not have withstood. He was not afraid to go back into service and was ready to give the most valuable thing for Ukraine - his life," said Vitaliy Yarush. Oleg was buried in the village of Koziari, Ternopil region. He is survived by his mother, wife, son, and two daughters.
