Oleh O. Zaprudnov (Khalk)

21-year-old senior soldier Oleh Zaprudnov (call sign Hulk) was killed on November 7, 2023 in the village of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. The warrior received fatal shrapnel wounds during enemy shelling from "Grads". Oleh was born in the village of Sasivka, Kirovohrad region. He graduated from Vocational School No. 8 in Kropyvnytskyi, where he obtained the qualifications of a sanitary and technical systems and equipment installer and a manual arc welder. In his free time, he loved fishing and hunting. He worked at a car service station. In 2020, he went on contract service to the 3rd separate regiment, military unit A2077. In 2023, he was transferred to military unit A0224. He served in the 1st anti-tank platoon in Mykolaiv. During the full-scale war, he defended the country as part of the 79th separate air assault Tavria brigade. He held the position of a crew member of the 3rd section of the 1st anti-tank platoon of the anti-tank missile company. "He was always friendly, cheerful, smiling, sincere, and had a very good heart. He was a healthy and strong guy, always showing his strength. From the beginning of his service in the training center, his comrades nicknamed him Hulk, and when Oleh was at the front, he was given another call sign - Lucky. Everyone will remember him as such. This is a hellish loss for us and for all those who knew him. A good friend, a faithful comrade, the best son and brother. He was an incredible person, I miss him very much," said his sister Vitalina Kozhokar. The defender was buried in the Alley of Honorable Burials of the Far Eastern Cemetery in Kropyvnytskyi. Oleh is survived by his mother Lilia, father Oleksandr, sister Vitalina, brother Serhii, and nephew Oleksandr.
