Oleh P. Palamarchuk (Sova)

Oleg Palamarchuk (call sign Owl), a tank commander, was killed on January 15, 2024, near the village of Terniv in the Donetsk region. During the battle, he evacuated his entire crew from the damaged tank, but did not have time to exit himself. The warrior was 54 years old. Oleg was from the village of Hybalivka in the Vinnytsia region. He studied at the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Construction Technical School. In 2014-2016, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. Recently, he worked as a rescuer. On February 26, 2023, the man volunteered for the war. He underwent training in Sweden. He served in the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of a tank platoon in a tank company of a tank battalion. For his worthy service, the military was awarded the "For Courage" and "Cross of Combat Merit" decorations. "He was a very good person and a loving brother," said the deceased's sister, Natalia. Oleg was buried in his native village. He is survived by his wife, son, and sister.
