Oleh R. Buhrim (Ispanets)

Senior soldier Oleh Buhrim (call sign Spaniard) was killed on March 14, 2024, while defending the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk region. He would have turned 19 years old in May. Oleh was born in the city of Dnipro. He studied at a local vocational school to become a cook-pastry chef. He loved dogs very much. From the age of 14, he worked various jobs. He was involved in sports, particularly MMA, and won prizes in competitions. He dreamed of having his own business, a family, and a son. As soon as he turned 18, he left his studies and voluntarily joined the military. Oleh became a fighter in the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, holding the position of senior rifleman-operator. "Oleh was a very good person, he never held grudges. He had dreams and plans for life, which, unfortunately, did not come true. He was more developed than his years. He loved animals and was involved in sports. He dreamed of buying me a dacha and bringing his future children to visit me," his mother Iryna said. The young hero was buried in his hometown. Oleh is survived by his mother and brother.
