- ATO veteran Oleg Perehuda (call sign Skif) was killed on June 14, 2022, near the village of Bohorodychne in Donetsk region. Oleg was born in Ivano-Frankivsk region. After the Maidan in 2014, he went to serve as a volunteer in Donbas, performing combat missions in the National Guard. Two years later, he returned home due to injury. With friends-veterans, he founded the "Ukrainian Intelligent Automation" in Ivano-Frankivsk. Together they developed a bedside panel for hospitals, which includes a doctor call system, lighting, access to Wi-Fi, etc. For the last five years, Oleg lived with his wife in Ivano-Frankivsk, where he also created a rehabilitation center for soldiers and ATO participants "4.5.0. Prykarpattia". After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Skif returned to the front. He served in the 80th separate airborne assault brigade. He was the commander of the platoon. "I knew Oleg in civilian life. He is a man who can be looked up to. Cold mind, composure, dignity and honor were in everything he did. It's sad to realize that our best people have to go through a black and vile horde, for whom household appliances and a toilet are a miracle. This is not just a clash of two cultures. This is a real confrontation between good and evil, and Oleg was the embodiment of everything bright and human," wrote Ivan Vidlivanyi on social media. "Oleg is my former commander in ATO. A person of boundless courage and boundless nobility. He was killed literally a few hours after we said goodbye. was killed unbroken and unconquered. In battle, saving the lives of his comrades. I remember him, a young guy who came to our tent in July 2014, then still incomplete 3rd platoon. He was perhaps the youngest, but quickly earned respect as a real commander. Because he always valued the lives of others more than his own," wrote Yehor Cherniev. Skif was buried in his native Ivano-Frankivsk region. The defender left behind his parents and wife. Posthumously, Oleg was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi III degree. In the lyceum in the village of Piylo in Ivano-Frankivsk region, an interactive memorial plaque was opened in honor of the warrior.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
