Oleh S. Tsymbaliuk (Maliuk)

Soldier Oleh Tsymbaliuk (call sign "Maliuk) was killed on September 30, 2022 near the village of Berestove in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the warrior received fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack. In a month, the defender would have turned 47 years old. Oleh was born in the village of Manykivtsi, Khmilnytskyi region. He lived in the regional center. He graduated from Khmilnytskyi Vocational School No. 25 and obtained the profession of an instrumentation and control technician, a pump equipment mechanic. He worked as a long-distance driver. In his free time, he loved to go fishing. At the time of the full-scale war, the man was at work in Poland, but immediately decided to return home to defend his native country. When he arrived, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a sniper in the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. "For us, our dad was the best. He was our protection and support, an unbreakable wall of family comfort. His life was filled with joy, love, good people, he lived with a conscience. When a person lives with God in their heart, then life is illuminated by God's grace. He was a faithful friend, a reliable comrade, and that's why he had so many friends. Our life is divided into 'before' and 'after'. It is unbearably painful and difficult," said the warrior's wife, Tetiana. The defender was buried in Khmilnytskyi. Oleh is survived by his mother, brother, wife, son, and daughter. He was posthumously awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the city.
